EW2 engine

Postby Von_Clausewitz on Sun Oct 12, 2008 4:12 pm

Hi,

I hope Ew2 will run on a newer game engine as soon enough with the new PC's all the men in AC/FB will go around the pap like they are on steroids.
I barely can slow the game enough on my PC yo play EW online. I was thinking i might need to downclock my system. It would be shame to waste all that talent on a beautiful mod that might not run with new PCs. I suggest u use a newer but similar engine like age of empires 3 or something of the sort.

Did you try setting up your speed of the game in options.

First off you need to set it to slow mode and slide the bar to somthing normal. I also have a strong system and it all works fine when I set up the options.

Also When playing online the one who created the game needs to set up the game speed, cause only he can regulate it

i actually have it at the slowest possible and still it was fast for me, but then in more than 1 vs 1 the speed was good. But still i think you are doing a very good work and i am not sure how long AC/FB would run on our PCs, that's why i suggest a newer engine.

We can always re set the timer of the engine so that really isnt an issue to switch the engine. But there are bigger and not so easily fixable issues for which we might change the engine!
